"The Board of Directors of the Elderly Health Screening Service understand and agree that it is the purpose and policy of this program to provide quality health screening services to the elderly. The primary objective of this program will be:
A. to provide a program of health screening which meets the needs of the elderly and provides early detection of health problems, and which will maximize the effective coordination of health services and other related programs; B. to effect broad community support from appropriate groups in the area, including professional associations, public health officials, elderly service groups, Commissions on Aging, voluntary health agencies, industry and organized labor; C. to provide a program of health education insofar as time and resources permit; D. to foster good health habits among clients of the program; E. to promote a good relationship between the elderly community and the medical community; and F. to strive to make the program self-supporting through municipal contributions, clients’ donations, and other gifts." |
